Resources at the Old Library

The Old Library houses the Eastern Townships Collection of the Bishop’s University Library, which includes the following types of resources:

  •  published histories on the Eastern Townships
  • published and unpublished family histories 
  • maps 
  • Bishop’s University archives (i.e. The Campus, yearbooks, published histories on Bishop’s University, etc.) 
  • historical newspapers (on microfilm) 
  • census returns for the Eastern Townships (on microfilm) 
  • civil status registers from Protestant Churches in the Eastern Townships (on microfilm)
  • Lower Canada Land Petitions (on microfilm)
