The ETRC is a proud member of the Bishop’s community and, as such, is also committed to providing students with a complete university experience. To that end, the ETRC provides internships to students interested in history and archival work.
The purpose of experiential learning projects is to foster student innovation, initiative, and self-reliance by providing internships in practical research and, most particularly, job-related experiences in the community, charities, and non-profit organizations. In turn, these experiential learning projects offer small companies, community organizations or educational institutions an opportunity to explore the dynamism and creativity of our young students and their will to learn and work right here in our Townships.
As part of its mandate, the ETRC functions as a focal point for community service and community-based learning by establishing partnerships with community organizations, acting as a liaison between the University and surrounding regional groups, and contributing to experiential learning.
