The Journal of Eastern Townships Studies (JETS)/ Revue d’études des Cantons-de-l’Est (RECE) is a bilingual, multidisciplinary, refereed journal published biannually. Since its creation in 1992, JETS/RECE has served to disseminate scholarly knowledge on the Eastern Townships region and its inhabitants to scholars and to a general audience interested in Townships issues. Our articles offer multiple perspectives on the past, present and future conditions within this unique area of the world from historical, sociological, environmental and scientific viewpoints.
The Eastern Townships Resource Centre organizes lectures and conferences throughout the year. The events are free and all are welcome.
As part of the exhibition series DISCOVER YOUR PAST, the ETRC is opening its archives to share the treasures of several fonds and collections with the broader public. The exhibitions showcase a small selection of the thousands of remarkable photographs in the ETRC’s collection.
Starting in 2011, the ETRC began putting together a series of articles for the Sherbrooke Record on historical events, people and places in the Eastern Townships.
