Description of Personal Information Collected
The Eastern Townships Resource Centre gathers information voluntarily provided by users of the website. In the course of its activities, the ETRC may collect the following personal information:
- email address (submitted when signing up for our newsletter)
- name, mailing address, telephone number (when submitting a subscription to the journal, to make requests for research services and/or for instructional sessions through the Website)
Use of Information
The personal information entered on this site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the related form and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
The Eastern Townships Resource Centre uses Independent Analytics to record visits to the site, but does not share data with third parties or save personally identifiable information. To count unique visitors and collect geographical data, our analytics uses your IP address to get an approximate location, encrypts the IP using a series of techniques, and saves the anonymized ID to recognize future visits. Analytics data captured from Independent Analytics is stored on the same server of the ETRC’s website, rather than being stored on a third-party server.
The ETRC ensures that only authorized personnel have access to personal information. They may access only the personal information required to perform their duties.
